Summary: Charles Condomine hosts a séance at his fashionable country house in Kent as research for a sceptical novel about the supernatural. However, local psychic, Madame Arcati, proves to be the real thing, and he finds himself haunted by the spirit of his first wife. Did Charles will her back, and is he endangered by her fiendish plan to reclaim him? Only the great Noël Coward could spin a tale replete with eccentrics, plot twists and repartee, in which a ghost is the one who really knows how to live.
