Author: William Shakespeare
Summary: This much-loved comic fantasy about love, elopement and wicked games has four interwoven plots: the 'royal' wedding; the wild intrigues of four young lovers lost in the woods; the world of the fairies with their squabbles and mischief-making; and the hapless but well-meaning commoners trying to produce their own play.
Boldly set in the 1980s, the decade of MTV, neon nightclubs and power-dressing, this production of A Midsummer Night's Dream will be the perfect marriage of magic, mayhem and Madonna.
'Dream' is Stagecraft's contribution to the New Zealand-wide Compleate Workes festival.
