Fast, funny, and in your face, Stagecraft Theatre’s upcoming production of “BOYS” by Ella
Hickson is not to be missed.
In a flat in Edinburgh four friends face the end of their student years together. But the future,
jobs, relationships, and certainly cleaning out the fridge, can all wait - there is always time for
one last massive party.
But tonight, in the heat of summer, with strikes and rioting on the streets, the noise of the
party may not be enough to drown out the threat of the outside world. It may not be enough
to drown out the rising tension between two friends, each refusing to face their grief over a
recent shared tragedy. It may not be enough to drown out a boy’s fear of failure on the world
stage. It may not be enough to drown out the nagging voice that life is not all about the next
party, the next pill, the next beer.
Still, worth giving it a go, aye?
Party tonight on Princes Street. It’s going to be a riot.
