Season: 6 May - 16 May 2015

Shakespeare’s popular comedy is given a 1960’s twist in this new Stagecraft production, set in the glamorous world of an exclusive 1960s ski resort. Think après-ski. Think Audrey Hepburn. Think paparazzi. Think one-piece ski suits with fur trim. Much Ado in the '60s involves some singing and dancing, plenty of humour, a whole heap of style and of course all that sizzling Shakespeare dialogue.

When Don Pedro and his victorious Winter Olympics team arrive at the ritzy ski resort of Messina, sparks begin to fly between the handsome athlete Claudio and the society princess, Hero. Their courtship is helped along by their friends, in particular Benedick, another Olympic competitor, and Beatrice, Hero’s cousin, who make their own sparks, as they wage a war of wit and words against each other. As Hero and Claudio prepare for the whirlwind wedding of the year and the paparazzi watches on, it all looks like it’s going to be one big ski-party. But there is one person staying at the resort who is looking to spoil the fun for everyone.
